The public is invited to join a town hall discussion about programs within
the federal Recovery Act (aka Stimulus Package) that focus on clean energy jobs. Panelists from
the U.S. Senate Finance Committee and Sen. Max Baucus’s office will help
answer questions about the energy programs that are available, how to access
program funds, and how the programs benefit Montana businesses, energy
consumers, and communities. Representatives from the Governor\’s office and
the Montana Dept. of Environmental Quality will be available to answer
questions about the state distribution of federal energy stimulus funds.

The event includes an opportunity for audience participation and question
and answers. There will be copies of Sen. Baucus\’ Montana Resource Guide on
the Recovery Act available at the event.

The panel includes J.J. Adams, Economic Development Advisor for the U.
S. Senate Finance Committee, Pat Bousliman, Energy Tax Policy Analyst for
the U. S. Senate Finance Committee, and Catharine Ransom, Senior Climate and
Energy advisor for U.S. Senator Max Baucus. The Montana Governor’s office
and Department of Environmental Quality will also be represented.
