Montana Women For present “Peace and Justice Film Series”

Montana Women For will screen films on a variety of topics at Livingston’s Public Library, beginning April 4th. The schedule is as follows:

April 4th        “Why We Fight”
April 11th       “The Road to Guantanamo”
April 18th      “Terror Storm” & “The Patriot Act”
April 25th      “Gitmo” & “Dissent”
April 30th      “ Orwell Rolls in His Grave”

There will be a brief discussion about the films immediately after the screening. Montana Women For is a non profit organization dedicated to peace, equality and issues of freedom.

“With the sad anniversary of the 5th year of the Iraq war and the 4000th death from that war, we felt it was a good time to offer some alternative viewpoints and provocative films to foster some important conversations with our friends and neighbors,” said Bonnie Hyatt-Murphy, coordinator of the film series.

Films will begin at 7 pm in the downstairs room of the Library. Refreshments will be available and donations accepted to offset the expenses of the event. For more information on the film series, contact 406/222-2302 or check the website at www.montanawomenfor.org.
