Happy New Year! This is the last Year of the Bush! Thus we have great
cause for hope and slightly apprehensive celebration.

But what a mess there is to clean up, so let’s all recommit to doing our
tiny part to help our struggling world.

You can start by watching this video “The Story of Stuff”, and then by
changing your individual consumer habits, one small step at a time. Click
here: http://storyofstuff.com/

Our peace vigil will be on Monday January 7 in front of the post office at 4pm.
Please make an effort to come, as without a huge nationwide civilian
protest this damn war is going to go on forever.

Dr. Sue Wicklund, one of our own, has just had her autobiography published
and its an inspiring and highly enlightening piece of work. It is called
“This Common Secret:My Journey as an Abortion Doctor” and is sure to stir
up a lot of much needed controversy. We’re proud to have her as a member.
Please buy it either in Livingston or at the Country Bookshelf in Bozeman,
as we don’t want to contribute to box store profits anymore than is
absolutely necessary.

There will be no general meeting this month but there will be a board
meeting this month at 315 West Lewis at 6 pm.

Congratulations to the Bozeman Peace Seekers for passing a city ordinance
demanding the return of our troops from Iraq.

It is time for board elections again, so please submit any suggestions you
might have for board members, and search in your heart to see it you have
it in you to serve. We need everyone.

Also, PLEASE continue to visit this website for updated news and info.
Try and get it on your computer as your background and then you can just click the links for the news everyday. [Note from the Moderator: I have provided instructions for using our site news feed for easily tracking what’s new on the blog, as well as making this blog your browser’s home/default page.] A lot of members just wait for newsletters which no longer come. If you get used to using the blog, it really is a better system in the end.
